Description
Changesincellproliferativeactivitycausedbytrophicfactors,growthinhibitors,orinducersandinhibitorsofapoptosis,maybequantifiedusingtheMTT-CPA.MTTisreducedtoaninsolubleformazandyebymitochondrialenzymesassociatedwithmetabolicactivity.ThereductionofMTTisprimarilyduetoglycolyticactivitywithinthecellandisdependentuponthepresenceofNADHandNADPH.Theresultantintracellularpurpleformazancanbesolubilizedandquantitatedbyspectroscopicmeans.
